Thunder was formed from the Terraplane , a U.K. rock based outfit with Danny Bowes on vocals. This remained the same in the transformation from Terraplane to Thunder. The other members that founder memebers that formed Thunder were Harry James - the drummer and Luke Morely the Lead Guitarist.  Terraplane had produced the album Black and White and regularily played The Marquee in London. They built a good following...but then Andy Taylor from Duran Duran joined in a production capacity and with new members     &           Thunder was born. They were duly signed to EMI - where recorded their debut album "Back Street Symphony". The first single off this was Dirty Love and the band had a hit single  with this. Soon Thunder played the Monsters of Rock Festival, opening the bill. They went down a storm, and thus they continued their rise to success.

Danny Bowes had a great voice and Thunder were a real Rock band from the Bad Company School of Rock.

Backstreet Symphony was a brillaint debut album for Thunder and to be honest is still my favourite album they've done.
