In 1985 Shy hit the road in promotion of there first album on a major record label - R.C.A.

Brave The Storm was the album, produced by Tony Platt, and released on L.P. and Casette.

The record label had some difficulty trying to decide who to put Shy on tour with, as the album was excellent but hard ot pigeon hole.

The band themselves had created a very interesting album, and the production was top notch, and reviews were generally excellent,

but now they had to promote it.  The band hadn't created the album they had intended. That would have to wait until the follow up Excess All Areas (1987). Still the tour went well and the band grew as a live outfit.

In the end Shy got the support slot to Twelth Night, U.F.O. and Twisted Sister.  A whole range of bands from progrssive to out and out classic hard rock in the shape of U.F.O.  So Shy played with a mixed range of bands and fan bases. Still support to Twelth Night, U.F.O.  and Twisted Sister was a useful expeience, including performances at Birmingham Odeon and Hammersmith Odeon (now Apollo) in London.

The band were well received and their fan base was increased, and the tour's promotion was helped by the release of 2 singles: Hold Onto Your Love, and the reworked (from Once Bitten Twice Shy album) power ballad "Reflections".
