Once Bitten, Twice Shy Promotional Page

The band released their debut album " Once Bitten Twice Shy" in 1983 on Ebony Records, a Hull based independent label.
The band promoted the album with gigs across the U.K. and received much praise from fans and critics. This acclaim was to reward them with a major record deal in 1985 with R.C.A. The band gained valuable airplay on Radio 1's Rock show, and the critics were pretty unanimous in the arrival a band who had the potential to rival the slick american rock outfits. There were little or no other British bands at this time who could do this. The reviews in the rock press were excellent promotion for this talented Birmingham based U.K. outfit.
The band was made up of Tony Mills (vocalist), Steve Harris (Lead Guitar), Paddy McKenna (Keyboards), Mark Baddrick (Bass Guitar) and Alan Kelly (Drums). It was a tight knit unit who produced excellent harmonies, and most importantly well written songs. Everything about the album was positive. The production wasn't great, but the songs still stood out. Reflections (although this was later re-recorded for Brave The Storm with far better production) was brilliant , and Think of me and Chained By Deisire were 2 stand out tracks for me.
Shy appeared respectably in rock charts in magazines just hovering outside the big name players in the industry.
