The New Shy album,

Sunset & Vine

 The New SHY album is penned in as "Sunset & Vine". The album is scheduled for December release in Japan and Europe, with a February 2005 Release for the U.K.

Early indications are that it will in the vein of Unfinished Business and will be approximately 60-62 minutes long. Steve Harris has gone into done plenty of guitar segments, like Unfinished Business.  I'm looking forward to the results.

This album will feature twin guitars, with a welcome to Ian Richardson, guitarist with Siam.

With the departure of Paddy Mckenna, Keyboard duties have been undertaken by  Joe Basketts who worked on "Cruiser" Tony Mills first solo album.

Contrary to popular belief the album does feature Keyboards, but will strongly feature the twin guitar approach, colouring the music rather than obvious keyboards. I like many Shy fans love the Keyboards on their albums, but have a strong belief that the band will produce another excellent album. In the U.K. & the rest of Europe we will have to wait until the 7th of Febraury 2005 for "Sunset & Vine" to arrive.

The new album, but a preview has been released through the latest MTM compilation which was released in November - featuring a new SHY track : " The Way Home", from Sunset & Vine.

The music has been done by Steve Harris, and the lyrics by Tony Mills, with the exception of Walk Through Fire - penned by Steve Harris.

Tony Mills has produced the album and early indications are that the production values are very high. The album clocks in at over 60 minutes with the mahority of songs being between 5 & 6 minutes. Having heard previews of the songs I'm looking forward especially to "Jump The Gun", " Where Is The Love" (the big ballad), and "Soul Searchin" and the "Walk Through Fire" (written by Steve Harris).

The album is pretty much in the veins of Unfinished Business, with a nod towards a heavy Journey. I look forward to it.
